WHO WILL BE CARING FOR YOUR CHILD / CHILDREN
All of our staff have rigid enhanced and relevant DBS (Data Barring Service) checks in order for them to work at this setting and all main key workers are qualified to level three and four or more in childcare and some are ongoing with their training and regularly update their knowledge by attending ongoing training.
DBS checked Helpers Committee: Christine Nicholson /Claire Osbourne/ Clair Shield/ Elaine Dunn/ – Most of the Committee members consist of parents or grandparents of a child presently attending or have left recently. . Please note all staff and helpers and students are DBS checked and have had the relevant checks carried out by the manager before working or helping in the setting.
Parent Helpers: You can help without having to go through the DBS process but only once a month if you do decide you would like to do this on a regular basis then you will be required to have a DBS carried out. All you have to do is let us know or if we decide to do a rota put your name down. Helping out is enjoyable you get to find out what your child gets up to during a session, you can help in whatever capacity you want.
Committee / Trustees (if interested please mention this)
This is made up of past and present parents and staff, we are always looking for new members and we try to meet once or twice a term during group hours and it is a very informal.
It does come with some reasponsability helping to decide on any changes, employing staff and passing new policies and especially fundraising for the group to help purchase equipment. Please consider this as the group can’t run without a committee
Child Development Officer: Joan Heaseman based at (North Lodge).
